academicsuk.myfreeforum.org A forum for UK academics to chat anonymously about research, teaching and all the other things that make life difficult. I was thinking of calling this forum "Herding Cats" because that's what managing academics is supposed to be like.
Just curious - how many of the letters you can put after your name do you use? Do you use them exactly as is or do you "standardise" them if your qualification has a funny name?
So, suppose you do Computer Science in your field every university awards a BSc but the one you went to awards a BComSci and people are always getting confused and thinking you have a qualification in Communications Science - do you just give in and put you have a BSc?
Or do you just not bother with letters after your name?
(I put "Some other combination" because I put my highest degree and one professional qualification)
